Eleanor Lockley, Researcher at Sheffield Hallam University, writes about the recent online session – Creative Health Board Learning Network.

On 13th January we launched the Creative Health Board Learning Network. Our two-hour online session included delegates from the health sector, cultural sector, local authorities, charities, services and researchers who are keen to drive the Creative Health Movement forward across the country!

The session started with some context setting for our project and continued by showing our new infographic Creative Health Boards: A guide to getting started which is based upon eight initial themes:

  • Leadership Buy In
  • Sustainability
  • Building Trust
  • Workforce Development
  • Evidence
  • Lived Experience
  • Accountability
  • Policy Alignment

We asked our newly formed network to prioritise the themes and the image above shows through a mentimeter that Leadership Buy-In was most important, followed by Lived Experience, Policy Alignment. Evidence, and Building Trust sat in the middle followed by sustainability, workforce development and accountability.

The remainder of the session provided an opportunity to set priorities for the network. Rich discussions were held in break out rooms and feedback from them is helping us to shape the network and its priorities.

If you missed the session, it’s available to watch here.

Our next Creative Health Board Learning Network will be held on 29th April 2pm – if you want to be involved drop us an email at CHB@shu.ac.uk
